Options Veterinary Care is a unique nonprofit veterinary clinic that meets a crucial need for senior citizens, disabled veterans and other low-income pet owners who love their pets but cannot otherwise afford vet care. In filling this need, Options also serves as a resource for other community veterinary clinics, animal shelters, and social service agencies throughout Northern Nevada.

​Options typically serves dogs, cats, and occasionally other small animals. Services provided include diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injury (including surgical intervention when this is the best option), dental care, preventive medicine, spay/neuter (including community cats), and client education. The clinic opened in 2020 and is fully equipped with x-ray, diagnostic, and dental equipment as well as a surgical suite.

Customer Care Supervisor - full-time
Options Veterinary Care has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced, outgoing, mature professional individual to join our innovative, mission-oriented nonprofit veterinary clinic in a rewarding leadership role! The Customer Care Supervisor will oversee the customer service representatives (reception staff) as well as manage a variety of business processes to help ensure the smooth operation of the clinic. They will work closely with the other team members to create a positive environment and ensure quality and compassionate customer service is delivered to clients. Specific qualifications include prior customer service, preferably in human services, medical practice experience, or other related industries, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, and an associate or bachelor’s degree. ​

Kennel Assistant - part-time
The part-time Kennel Assistant is responsible for maintaining proper disease control protocols, including cleaning of facility, preparation of surgical packs, laundry, and general maintenance of facility. Schedule is two to three hours per day, two to five days a week on Mondays through Fridays. Strong interpersonal communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work with a team required. Experience working in a veterinary clinic or similar environment desired.
