Options Veterinary Care is a unique nonprofit veterinary clinic that meets a crucial need for senior citizens, disabled veterans and other low-income pet owners who love their pets but cannot otherwise afford vet care. In filling this need, Options also serves as a resource for other community veterinary clinics, animal shelters, and social service agencies throughout Northern Nevada.

​Options typically serves dogs, cats, and occasionally other small animals. Services provided include diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injury (including surgical intervention when this is the best option), dental care, preventive medicine, spay/neuter (including community cats), and client education. The clinic opened in 2020 and is fully equipped with x-ray, diagnostic, and dental equipment as well as a surgical suite.

Licensed Vet Tech (LVT) or LVT in Training

Veterinary Assistant 

Are pets your passion? Do you get excited about lifesaving excellence? Are you interested in a career that is meaningful? If yes, Options Veterinary Care is the next career move for you!

 

You'll assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing compassionate medical care and treatment for animals, and exceptional customer service to clients. The assistant also helps in the performance of medical and surgical procedures, exam room appointments, and animal handling and restraint, among other responsibilities. The nonprofit clinic treats dogs, cats, and other small pets.

 

Experience working in a veterinary clinic and working knowledge of current veterinary practices are desired but not required. On-the-job training is offered. Compensation and benefits are competitive. Full- or part-time positions available.

Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative represents Options Veterinary Care to the public in a friendly, professional manner, maintains a smooth and orderly flow of patients through the clinic, assists clients, and maintains accurate records in order to provide exceptional customer service. 

 

A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in customer service or working with the public are required. Experience working in a veterinary clinic is not required. Compensation and benefits are competitive. Full and part-time positions available.
