YOUR Humane Society SPCA is seeking a Development Director for its nonprofit animal shelter and adoption center located in Lake Panasoffkee in central Florida. This is an opportunity to lead the oldest and largest no-kill shelter in Sumter County, Florida. We are located on a five-acre campus and are mortgage-free.

The Development Director reports to the Board of Directors and provides intellectual, managerial, and entrepreneurial leadership to obtain the financial resources necessary to support the organization’s mission. This person is responsible for developing a culture of philanthropy with the governing board, staff, volunteers, and donors as well as for expanding public awareness of YOUR Humane Society SPCA (YHSSPCA) within the community.
